Job Description Performs all routine cutting and staining of surgical specimens, including frozen sections and special stains. Job Responsibility

1. Performs all routine cutting and staining of surgical specimens.
2. Performs frozen sections.
3. Performs special stains.
4. Performs related duties, as required.

*ADA Essential Functions Job Qualification 1. Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Basic Science or related field, required. 2. Licensed by New York State Education Department, required. 3. Minimum of one (1) year relevant histology experience and/or training in the past five (5) years. OR Minimum of twelve (12) months of training in an accepted Histotechnology program. 4. Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and/or oral instructions. 5. Good manual and physical dexterity is required. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
